FAQ
What should I expect during the first session?
During the first session, you'll meet the therapist and learn about their approach, discuss confidentiality, and share your background, concerns, and goals. The therapist will explain how future sessions will work and address any questions you have, helping determine if you are a good fit to work together.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential. Information shared during sessions is kept private and not disclosed without your consent. Exceptions include situations where there is a risk of harm, suspected abuse or neglect, court orders, and professional consultation. Therapists will explain these limits at the start of therapy.
How does virtual art therapy work?
Virtual art therapy uses video calls to connect you with a therapist from home. You just need a device with a camera, internet access, and basic art supplies like papers, markers, pencils or crayons. After scheduling a session through the Jane App, you'll log in and create art guided by the therapist to explore your feelings. You'll then discuss your artwork and emotions with the therapist, who will provide support and insights. This method offers the same benefits as in-person sessions but with the convenience of being at home.
